Mimicry and Work
The least likely and the strange is where the most value capture will happen in the world ahead.
It's easy to point to areas that are going to leap ahead (Robotics, Healthcare enabled by A.I.). But it's much harder to point towards areas that other people aren't pointing and say, yes, that's a direction worth heading in.
Three unlikely outcomes:
- Shift towards living in cities reverses and people redistribute to less densely populated areas
- Government overreach decreases as individuals are better able to take care of themselves
- Manufacturing in space from asteroids that are gathered and refined
Two strange outcomes:
- AI coach becomes a third party to all relationships
- AI enabled to act on behalf of individuals and behave in ways that are indistinguishable from your own person
